![]() ![]() However, the Spanish curriculum on the show is expanded to include phrases and commands rather than just the single Spanish words on the original show. The show still keeps its theme of teaching Spanish as well as being a part of the community. The pilot featured Dora and the Explorer Girls having to search for and find the tickets for a Shakira concert after Alana accidentally leaves her jacket in the donation bag she brought. The show originated from Dora's Explorer Girls, a spinoff of the original series that never got off the ground (only a Pilot Movie, some merchandise, and an online game were produced). Along with her new friends, the Explorer Girls (consisting of Alana, Naiya, Emma, Kate, and Pablo), they do things around the city. ![]() ![]() A now preteen aged Dora has moved with her parents to a city. And all through the magic of song! So while every other adult is sitting on their hands sulking, blowing spit bubbles, and feeling sorry for themselves, Dora is actually doing something about things.in the most ridiculous ways a teenager(?) can.Dora and Friends: Into the City! is a 2014 Spin-Off of the Nick Jr. The adults are petty, short sighted, barely functional and need Dora and her friends to tell them that banning dancing, all music that isn't Opera, or fun in general is just not right. We're shaving some serious numbers off of ones IQ. This is why the Dora the Explorer worked (kinda.). If you actually need Dora's help, your a creature of myth. I hate any show that dumbs down adults so much so that the heroes can actually have some actual relevance. If you can't tell by now, I hate this show with a passion. You'd think Dora would take up loftier goals now that she's grown up a bit. And you still have that 4th wall-breaking moment where the characters address the audience and ask for help. ![]() You add 7 years to Dora and nothing changes. That's pretty much where the compliments end from me. Well.at least Dora only yells at us half of the time instead of constantly like when she was younger. ![]()
